Tackling Transmission and Distribution Losses Effectively - a Managerial Approach

چکیده
This paper introduces the importance of electrical utilities in our life, and the challenges the utilities are facing. It also discusses the nature of the Transmission and Distribution losses and details the steps that can be taken to reduce these very critical losses. It also explains how Management Information Systems (MIS) could be useful in tackling these problems. The last section gives a specific procedure of how to determine distribution asset condition and how to optimally utilize this asset and extend its life.
